Trump Claims Victory, Iran Spares Women from execution

Iran Exection spared.jpg

Donald Trump has claimed a dramatic humanitarian win, announcing that eight Iranian women allegedly facing execution will no longer be put to death—crediting his personal intervention.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said four of the women would be released immediately, while the remaining four would receive short prison sentences instead of execution.

“I very much appreciate that Iran… respected my request,” he wrote, hailing the development as “very good news.”

Iran Flatly Denies Claim

But Iranian authorities quickly poured cold water on the announcement.

Officials in Iran insisted the women were never scheduled for execution, accusing Trump of being misled by “fake news.” They said some had already been released and others, if convicted, would face jail—not death.

The conflicting accounts leave the true situation murky.

Human Rights Cases In Focus

One of the women, Bita Hemmati, had reportedly been sentenced to death over alleged involvement in anti-government protests earlier this year, according to activist groups.

The cases were amplified by exiled campaigners including Masih Alinejad, who publicised the women’s names and drew international attention to their plight.

Timing Raises Questions

Trump’s announcement came just hours after he extended a fragile ceasefire in the ongoing US–Iran conflict—linking the humanitarian claim to high-stakes geopolitical negotiations.

Critics may question whether the president overstated his role, particularly given Tehran’s outright denial.

Propaganda Win Or Real Impact?

If accurate, the intervention would mark a rare moment of de-escalation and a tangible outcome amid tense talks.

If not, it risks further muddying an already chaotic информационная battle—where claims, counterclaims and political messaging are moving faster than verifiable facts.

For now, the fate of the eight women remains contested—caught between diplomacy, propaganda, and a war where truth itself is increasingly hard to pin down.

Trump claims credit for everything positive.

If the rescue of the downed airman had gone tits up, it would have been everybody's fault but his.

SOP for him.

Has Trump himself has said repeatedly he could claim anything and a certain percentage of his followers would believe it. This is likely just morning nonsense added to the great giant "Heap of Lies" and ridiculousness coming out of that toxic, diseased man's mouth.

Make up a story.
Make yourself the hero of the story.
Claim victory.

Right in line with his mentor's Roy Cohn advice:
Attack! Attack! Attack!

Admit nothing and deny everything.

No matter what happens you claim victory and never admit defeat. You have to be willing to do anything to anyone.

Iran must want to eliminate all genes for beauty. They cover them up anyway. And whatever happened to 'underwear girl'???

Hope no executions but could be the start of a burqini beauty pagent!

Hysterically funny X posts by the Iranian embassy in South Africa. They pretty much hit the nail on the head.
