Is it Cloudfare causing all the problems?

Featured Replies

I need to log in to Opensubtitles.com to change my password. but I can't access the site either through Firefox, Google, Chrome or Edge, it just won't open on any of those. Any idea what's preventing me doing that?

Try opensubtitles.org

Worked for me. https://www.opensubtitles.com

Page ran a verification, though it wasn't necessary for me to interact with it.

Just checked opensubtitles.com and after verification it just sat there.

Checked with 'Is it down' and it's "down for everyone"!

Should come back either shortly or after some time.

ADD According to above it's back.

PS I'm having a similar problem with theempire.click but that's not down for everyone, just me (Thailand?).

I can open that but that's not where I can change password for opensubtitles.com which is what I use to access subs on Nova app on Playstore. The .com is the only one that works.

.com works for me. Firefox 150.0.1

ToT internet

Do you have a VPN?

Yes I have a VPN but didn't need to use it.

I'm blocked access to Opensubs on the PC, tablet and smart TV, I have 3BB.

So it would seem to be a 3bb problem ?

Maybe a vpn would help in this situation?

I have 3BB and can access http://www.opensubtitles.com/ no problem using Firefox 150.0.1 with VPN on or off. So not a 3BB issue or a VPN issue.

What could be the reason then?

That looks like the internal address of the router on your home network. The actual DNS server addresses will be in the router config.

This guide shows how to set up OpenDNS using Windows if you want to try that.

https://windowsreport.com/opendns-free-dns/

NB Remember to make a note of the values of any settings before you change anything, so you can easily revert back to your original config.

Thanks but I can't open that link, and I'm not computer savvy enough to start playing around with settings. The Opensubs link is the only thing I can't access, all the other download sites are still available, so I'll live with it.

I don't know what's going on but I can't open that link.

Open a new tab in your browser.

Copy & paste the link into the new tab address field.

I checked on "Is your website down right now" and get this message Access to Opensubtitles.com is declined

The server doesn't allow access to the page...

The "Is it down right now" website gives me that message also but I can still access opensubtitles.com. So the "Is it down right now" service does not work properly.

Not being able to open some links by clicking them is an anti-malware safety feature activated by AN tech staff. Now you need to copy & paste links that don't open unto another browser tab or window.

I'm curious as to why they'd block a subtitle site when I can still access plenty of other sites where I can download movies and TV series. Seems a bit pointless.

What are you using to watch your videos?

If VLC it already has a very good in-built Subtitle downloder!

I use Nova which does the same thing, but both those apps get their subs from Opensubs and I'm blocked there as well.
