Significant shaking was recorded in Tacloban City, with reports of varying intensities felt in surrounding regions such as Sorsogon, Leyte, and Northern Samar. Can-Avid in Eastern Samar and Tacloban City experienced the strongest tremors at Intensity V. Other areas, including Alangalang and Dulag in Leyte, registered meaningful impact, leading to concerns about potential damage.

Phivolcs has warned of possible aftershocks and damage from the earthquake's impact. Experts fear infrastructure could be affected, prompting local authorities to prepare for emergency response measures. Communities are urged to remain vigilant and adhere to safety protocols as the situation develops.

The government’s rapid response teams are on standby, prepared to assist affected areas. Investigations into the extent of damage and the likelihood of subsequent aftershocks are underway as safety evaluations continue.
