Three Thai Beaches Named Among World’s Best for 2026

Three Thai beaches have been included in the 2026 World’s Best Beaches list by Global Travel Experts. Donald Duck Bay in Phang Nga ranked tenth, making it Thailand’s highest entry and placing it among the global top 10. The beach, located in the Similan Islands National Park, was praised for its limited visitor numbers, preserved natural setting, soft white sand, calm clear water, and striking scenery. Paradise Beach in Phuket was also recognised for year-round swimming, beach club appeal, and coral reef snorkelling. Freedom Beach, also in Phuket, earned a place on the list for its white sand, turquoise water, and green hillside surroundings.

Ok, so a Las Vegas based entity that offers filler used by the travel trade and content issued on behalf of "pay for play" social media influencers (sic) picked some beaches. After the Dubai social influencer meltdown, I think most people have moved on from relying on social influencers for destination advice. 🫠.

Although Freedom beach is fine, it can get sewage runoff and is not any more special than other Phuket beaches like Kata or karon. There is also the 200 baht scam, the beach restaurants try to charge for entry to the beach. Thailand has many nice beaches. Railay beach is recognized for its beauty.I'd nominate , the long strip between Suan Son and Khao Tao in Hua Hin. It is one of the most peaceful and cleanest beaches ideal for walking and swimming.
