Initial investigations revealed that the vehicle's driver filled up with fuel before leaving the premises without settling the bill. The QCPD has appealed to the public to help identify the suspect. Police are currently analyzing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the station and nearby areas to identify the individual involved.

The QCPD urges anyone who recognizes the suspect from the CCTV images to report to their nearest police station or contact emergency hotlines like E911 or QC Helpline 122. Such public cooperation is deemed crucial for the suspect’s identification and potential arrest. Authorities are working to enhance security measures and are keen on timely public assistance in such cases.

Looking forward, the QCPD remains committed to resolving this case swiftly and encourages ongoing public vigilance to prevent similar incidents. This incident highlights the importance of collaborative efforts between law enforcement and the community in maintaining public safety.

We had that in AUS and caught a few that way.

Hardly news...that is only about US $ 25.

Drive-offs happen all the time in Australia.
