Weapons Cache Probe Expands to Thai Police and Military Links

A Chinese national arrested after a car crash in Chon Buri has been linked to a wider investigation involving firearms, military-grade weapons, and explosives. Police first found a Glock pistol, magazines, and ammunition in his vehicle before searching his luxury home, where M16 rifles and C4 explosives were reportedly discovered. The suspect claimed he bought the weapons online and intended to use them in a suicide attempt, but investigators said they were not fully convinced. Several Thai nationals and officials were later connected to the case, including a shooting instructor, navy officers, soldiers, and police officers. Authorities are continuing to investigate the weapons trail, official involvement, motive, and the suspect’s mental health.
