Mystery woman fuelling Trump’s midnight posting frenzy

Natalie Harp

A little-known White House aide has emerged as the secret force behind Donald Trump’s explosive late-night social media barrages — and insiders say frustration is boiling over inside the West Wing.

Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant, has become one of the most influential figures shaping the president’s online messaging machine. Yet despite her enormous behind-the-scenes power, most Americans have never heard her name.

According to a sweeping Wall Street Journal report, Harp now plays a central role in the nearly 8,800 posts published to Trump’s Truth Social account since the start of his second term. Trump still approves the content himself — but Harp reportedly decides much of what even reaches his desk.

Every evening, Harp arrives carrying stacks of printed draft posts packed with material designed to appeal directly to the president. The content often comes from fringe social media users, partisan commentators and anonymous online accounts.

People familiar with the process say Harp scours platforms like X searching for videos, images and posts that fit Trump’s grievances and worldview. Once Trump signs off on the selections, the operation kicks into overdrive.

Harp reportedly logs into Trump’s account late at night or in the early hours of the morning, long after much of the White House staff has gone home. Then comes the flood.

On one night alone in December, Trump’s account blasted out nearly 160 posts between 8:17pm and midnight. According to the Journal’s analysis, similar posting frenzies have erupted 44 times since Trump returned to office.

The pattern has become a defining feature of Trump’s online presence — rapid-fire posts landing between 8pm and 6am in relentless bursts. Critics say the sheer volume has overwhelmed traditional media coverage and amplified some of the administration’s most divisive messaging.

Harp’s influence has also stretched into deeply controversial territory. Earlier this year, at Trump’s direction, she posted a video containing racist imagery portraying former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama as apes.

She also published an AI-generated image depicting Trump as a Christ-like figure. Both posts were later deleted following bipartisan backlash.

Trump later insisted he had not seen the offensive section of the Obama video before approving it and blamed an editing error. But the incident raised fresh questions about how carefully content is being reviewed before reaching millions of followers.

Inside the White House, tensions are reportedly mounting because Harp operates outside normal communications channels. Unlike traditional presidential messaging operations, draft posts are not routinely reviewed by the chief of staff’s office, communications teams or national security officials.

According to colleagues, Harp has made it clear she works directly for Trump and answers only to him. That independence has alarmed some officials who fear there are no institutional safeguards around what appears under the president’s name.

The lack of oversight means posts pushing conspiracy theories, false claims about the 2020 election, attacks on migrants and calls for political opponents to be arrested can bypass standard White House review processes entirely.

The Wall Street Journal found that many reposts on Trump’s Truth Social account come from obscure or anonymous accounts including @TheSCIF, @WallStreetApes and @NathanielSami. The identities and motivations behind many of those users remain unclear.

Despite the growing concern, the White House is standing firmly behind the strategy. Communications Director Steven Cheung defended the operation, insisting “Truth Social has never been hotter”.

Cheung said the platform allows Trump to communicate “unfiltered and direct thoughts to the American people” without what he described as “the biased media taking him out of context”. He declined to discuss the internal process behind the posting spree.

As Trump’s online presence grows even more aggressive and unpredictable, Harp’s influence inside the White House appears stronger than ever — and so does the controversy swirling around it.

I’m not buying it:

“Every evening, Harp arrives carrying stacks of printed draft posts packed with material designed to appeal directly to the president. The content often comes from fringe social media users, partisan commentators and anonymous online accounts.”

Trump famously doesn’t read documents and even if he did, the suggestion he reads hard copies and then his ‘executive assistant’ goes back to the source and loads it into social media posts doesn’t make any sense.

What does make sense is Trump is of his rocker, staying up late at night ranting on social media, like he has done for a long time before this ‘executive assistant’ ever got hired.

I look forward to hearing what her actual duties are.

Ms. Harp is not new on the scene:

Months later, she became an aide for Trump in his 2024 presidential campaign. She often accompanied Trump when he played golf, bringing a printer and a laptop to show him articles; Harp's use of a printer, which began from Trump's preference for paper news, led to her being given the nickname of the "human printer".

I am afraid you are wrong on this one.

She is known in the White House as the "human printer". She is never separated from the printer.

I agree Trump has limited reading ability. Perhaps he looks at the pictures or just the headlines.

Trump’s late night online ranting predates her arrival.

AI Gemini:

Before moving to Truth Social, Donald Trump’s Twitter account (@realDonaldTrump) was managed and supported by a small team, with Dan Scavino serving as the primary aide responsible for crafting and posting content.

Key individuals who helped with Twitter posts:

Dan Scavino: As White House Social Media Director, Scavino was the "caretaker" of the feed, with estimates suggesting he helped craft roughly half of the president's tweets. He often worked with Trump to draft and post tweets, particularly in the later years of his presidency.

Madeleine Westerhout: Trump's former personal aide testified that she sometimes helped draft, print, and edit tweets when Scavino was absent.

Apparently she's a "Christian Nationalist", which means she loves Jesus but absolutely hates his teachings.

I think that demographic probably redacts the Sermon on the Mount and Matthew 25 from Trump's autographed Bible.

Is it Bev Turner she has been salivating again🤔
