Xi ‘Warned Trump Putin May Regret Ukraine War’ As Russia Staggers

Xi Jinping allegedly told Donald Trump that Vladimir Putin could one day regret launching his catastrophic invasion of Ukraine — a remarkable reported admission from Moscow’s closest major ally as Russia’s war machine grinds deeper into crisis.

According to the Financial Times, Xi made the blunt assessment during last week’s summit with Trump in Beijing, where the two leaders discussed the deadlocked war and the growing strains facing the Kremlin.

Beijing officially denied the report, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also rejected claims the conversation took place.

But even the suggestion that Xi privately questioned Putin’s judgment is politically explosive given China’s so-called “no limits” partnership with Russia.

Russia’s ‘Victory’ Keeps Shrinking

More than four years after the invasion began, Russia remains bogged down in a brutal war of attrition that has delivered staggering casualties for painfully slow territorial gains.

Ukraine’s rapidly evolving drone warfare has fundamentally changed the battlefield, allowing Kyiv to strike deep inside Russia while holding the front against larger Russian forces.

Russian advances have slowed to a crawl, with Ukrainian drones increasingly targeting military facilities, oil infrastructure and even areas near Moscow itself.

The article claims the growing threat forced Putin to dramatically scale back this year’s Victory Day parade — traditionally one of the Kremlin’s biggest propaganda spectacles.

Kyiv reportedly viewed the reduced parade and temporary ceasefire measures around Moscow as evidence that Russian leadership fears long-range Ukrainian strikes reaching the capital.

Putin Facing Pressure At Home

Beyond the battlefield, the war is placing mounting pressure on Russia’s economy.

The Kremlin has already raised taxes to fund the war effort, while reports suggest Putin has leaned heavily on oligarchs and state industries to keep the military machine running.

Western sanctions, soaring military spending and labour shortages continue to bite despite Russia managing to avoid the rapid collapse many initially predicted.

The war has also transformed Russia into an increasingly dependent junior partner to China, relying heavily on Beijing for trade, industrial imports and economic breathing room.

That is why the alleged Xi comment matters.

If true, it suggests China’s leadership may privately see the invasion not as a masterstroke of geopolitical strength, but as a strategic blunder slowly weakening Russia.

China Walking A Delicate Line

Publicly, Beijing still refuses to condemn the invasion and continues presenting itself as neutral while criticising NATO and Western sanctions.

At the same time, China has carefully avoided becoming directly entangled militarily in the conflict.

The report also claims Xi and Trump discussed the International Criminal Court arrest warrant issued against Putin over alleged war crimes linked to the deportation of Ukrainian children.

For now, Putin remains in power and Russia continues fighting.

But the image projected by the article is stark: a war intended to restore Russian greatness instead leaving Moscow economically strained, strategically cornered and increasingly dependent on a Chinese leadership that may privately believe the invasion was a historic mistake.

Okay, now we know what he said to Trump. What did Xi say to Putin four days later?

When I think of "fake news" about Putin, Im instantly reminded of the Holy Trinity of fake news, all from one political side.

1)Putin colluded with Trump to cause Hillary to lose "her" election

2)Putin is dying from some abominable illness and will cark it in 3...2...1..

3)The Ukraine invasion will be over in 48 hours as Russia has no weapons, money or soldiers.

All 100% BS, which doesnt stop them from making up more garbage
