June 16Jun 16 Sorry, wife's gone all Japanese and is pestering me. She is convinced we need to show a ticket into Thailand (as well as out, plus hotel bookings, plus funds- which we have prepared) when applying for our SETV. Our plan is to cross one of the bridges from Laos. She wants me to buy bus tickets. I don't that is needed.Lastly, hopefully lastly, when filling out the application, it asks for vehicle number. What can we put there? "Local taxi/bus"? Obviously we have no idea what vehicle it will be, and we may(?) even be walking across the actual border.Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
June 16Jun 16 Some embassies require an actual ticket, but most don't. The application doesn't even have a place to upload an actual booking unless they send you a request after you submit the application. Is the vehicle number a mandatory field?

(don't book the flight) Re accommodation you can make a cancellation free booking for first few nights.

Is the vehicle number a mandatory field? The question after "mode of transport" is "vehicle number" and something needs to go in that field. Somewhere it was suggested to pit "local bus/taxi". I could put in Flight XYZ from Saigon, but then without a booking upload, it would look incomplete. There is place to upload "4 . Travel booking confirmation" and I have uploaded confirmation of our ticket out.I have also uploaded two separate hotel bookings of 5-6 days each, and bank statements.I can't imagine they insist on seeing a bus ticket for someone entering from Laos, especially with a tciket out. But I'm not Japanese....
June 18Jun 18 What about an onward flight booking within 60 days? Is that required? What if you extend your TV to 90 days, would they accept a booking within 90 days?
