No usual letter from the bank.

Featured Replies

Went in today for the usual letter from the bank for Jomtien immigration ( O visa renewal ) it is now a one year statement or a three month statement, more paperwork.

You mean the bank refused you the letter? That's strange, I always get both letter and statement, for CW not Jomtien.

One year, or three months? Your best bet is to just keep 800,000 baht in the account at all times.

Would help if you said what method you are using. I did 800k a couple months ago and a letter was required with the passbook etc, no statement

OP, using money in bank method you can be asked for a 12 month bank statement especially for example there is a month or two with no transactions or consolidated transactions.

You will also require Bank Letter and update on day of application.

I think the best thing to do is ask for the letter and a 12-month statement. If the clerk says no letter, then ask to speak to a supervisor and explain that you need both for Jomtien immigration, and if necessary, call them right there so it can be clarified for the bank.

PT wants both letter statement and the same-day update passbook

This is a really obscure post...doesn't really make sense.

Suggest you repost with what you really mean, so people can answer correctly.

My way of thinking, We don't have to go back in 3 months to show money in the bank because they can see from the statements the 800k plus is always in.

Hence the 3 month statement you can get if its not always in

Another confusing post.

The 3 month check after extension approved was a temporary (ridiculous) Jomtien thing.

For others: Re bank... Do three things.

Obtain Bank Letter

Obtain 12 month bank statement (best option)

Update bank book on day of application.
