Can I get a Buddhist Monk visa if I am only planning to stay at the monastery for 3 months?

It is my experience (in talking to foreigners who do monk-stuff here) that most temples won't give the required documentation to apply for the Non-R visa for just a 3 month stay.

I mean you're out nothing by asking what ever thai temple you're thinking of staying at for 3 months, but I'd say they would probably decline and tell you to just apply for a tourist visa, then take the 30 day extension

Why would you even bother.

Nothing stopping you obtaining setv + extension = 3 months.

Same as eg "study Thai language"

You don't need a ED visa..
