I recently started buying a lot more stuff from Shopee and almost nothing from Lazada because I found the same items are usually much cheaper on Shopee. On top of that, their search engine seems far more accurate, with results that actually match what I’m looking for.

Then this Lazada ad showed up in my Instagram feed today. It seems they know the key to my heart. Do you think they’re trying to win me back?

Yeah, mate, half the time they are showing me ads for bongs and the other half of the time it's butt plugs. What could possibly go wrong?

The Shopee ads you see are picked from the items you have searched for in the past. You do a lot of searching for bongs and butt plugs?

Only on Saturdays. Actually, I did tell this tart on the phone the other day that I was bringing the bong over and that she’d better have her butt plug ready. In all fairness, if my phone was listening, I can’t really blame Instagram for knowing what I might be needing to restock up on next week.

Actually, I don't even really need a new bong.

No kidding! I buy an uninterruptable power supply (ups) to replace one that burned out, a once every 3-5 years occurrence. For the next two months now I will be inundated with ads to buy a ups.

100% of ALL scam purchases I've made came from Shopee. I'll pay the extra few baht for deals I trust.

No. It's from your past shopee searches. Now we know you buy a lot of bongs and butt plugs.

I also gave up on lazada. The whole user interface is cumbersome by comparison to shopee. I did use some samsung app to kill all sound from the app though as the videos are very obtrusive.

Those items are completely banned from being sold on Lazada. Meaning Lazada wouldn’t knowingly advertise either of those items. Maybe somebody has hacked Lazada’s Instagram account and is having a bit of a laugh.

I rarely use Shopee. I probably would if they had better English translation. I find Lazada just so much easier to use.
