Fortuner Speed Signal

Featured Replies

Hi. I am trying to get hold of 'vehicle speed signal' information for a 2006 Fortuner. This is needed to be able to install an aftermarket cruise control. There should be a pick up point at the instrument cluster. This is where it is on a Hilux Vigo. As the 2 models are built on the same platform, it may well be the same. Any help would be much appreciated. I am in the UK, have done all of the research with regards to the right model of drive-by-wire cruise control, and only need this last piece of information.

Cheers.

Steve.

The immediate question that springs to mind, after driving here for several years, is, where exactly do you think you'll be able to drive with a cruise control here in Thailand? The reason most cars don't have them is that it is virtually impossible to set a speed and keep it for any length of time. Waste of money, imo.

The OP states that he is in the UK so I assume he has exported a Fortuner from Thailand. To the OP, if you have a 2006 Fortuner you should read the thread that I have started in regards to brakes (Scary Fortuner incident! Anyone similar?). Maybe spend some money on checking your brakes also!
