Testosterone test

Featured Replies

I got quoted Thb 600, - for what the clinic said was an ordinary testosterone test and Thb 1800, - for what they said was a full test and needed if I wanted a testosterone injection!

Anyone who can explain the difference?

Thanks

The full test probably includes a test of free testosterone level.

Testosterone level alone does not really say much. A doctor will need the full picture including SHGB, total and free Testosterone, Estradiol and others. These additional values are related and are important to see the full picture.

Wellthyme Clinic Pattaya does a complete work-up, won’t sell you anything you don’t need, since I started with them, I have not had to take a Nap in middle of the day in six months. my skin has cleared up, chicks have asked “Are you losing weight??” I haven’t but maybe that will come later. www.wellthymeclinic.com.

Thanks for the replies. I will go for a full test then.

Always do the FULL test as a starting point - that will give you the baseline with which to monitor changes and ensure the correct dose going forward. Advisable to repeat key elements after 3 months and re-assess.

And whether testosterone is the culprit of any health problem.

A total testosterone will tell you almost as much as a combo total T and free T for 85% of the population. They are almost perfectly correlated and the reason you hear that total T is worthless is because internet Gurus realized they could get clicks :)

Now if you are that 15% that has complicating factors like diabetes or are in bad health, the correlation is still there but far from perfect. That is why they require the Free T for those wanting T therapy.

Be VERY careful going down the T therapy route. Depending on your age, there is no going back without bad consequences for most. If you have other health issues, I would fix those first and get a few more tests a few months apart before going down the T therapy route which can be wonderful I assume but is far from a free ride.

But that could be caused by blood flow issues.

Or maybe a bit of both - low testosterone and low blood flow.

I don't know much about Testosterone replacement, but fixing blood flow problems may be easier to address.

And always try to keep the weight down, because all health problems are at higher risk and Testosterone therapy will not save you.
