After seven years of having marriage extension issued using monthly income method without problems this year Immigration are causing difficulties. I am not happy at their insistence of 400K in Bank and am considering using an Agent on the advice of other Expats in the same situation. The costs quoted from various people vary greatly and can anyone give me first hand advice or recommend an Agent, maybe change to Retirement ?.

Ok, so you are using 12 month bank statement and this has, been successful in the past.

You need to establish exactly why they are not accepting income method.

I use income method for extension retirement with 12 month bank statement without issue at CW.

Agent cannot pull a magic wand for extension marriage.

Essentially marriage extension in the main is hand holding exercise.

Primarily agents assist with extension retirement.

So what does immigration actually want?

A bank letter showing 400k ?

This is being required by immigration not by Bank?
