Map Upgrade For Oem Built In Gps Navigator

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Toyota Camry 2.4Q model (Year 2005) from a used car dealer. It comes with the Toyota's OEM built in 2 Din indash visual screen and has a GPS navigator. However, the original map is outdated and cannot be seen as clearly as the latest ones from ESRI. Does anyone know where I can upgrade to the latest map and what is the best Map version a 2005 Camry's GPS system can support? I have asked Toyota's dealers but they have no clue.

Usually the dealer should know what to do. But, well... :o

I think the best thing to do, would be contacting ESRI directly. Tel.: 022669948 (Garmin Hotline). I have not much idea how the system can be updated and how the map is stored on the device. I would appreciate if you post later on, how you resolved the problem.

Have you found solution to your problem? I talked with the staff at Toyota and they say that they are able to provide you with the update.

Yes, I have finally solved it. Took it to ESRI and have them update it. Only takes 10 minutes. It only cost THB 1500.

Btw, Thanks for your suggestions.

No problem at all. I'm glad that you found solution :o
