About a week and a half ago, Thailand announced its intention to shorten the visa-free stay period from 60 to 30 days for citizens of 93 countries, The move has now been officially approved, and according to authorities, it is expected to take effect within 15 days of its publication in government records according to the approved decision, the expanded 60-day program (which included 93 countries) is completely canceled, and the kingdom will return to a policy of exemption for only 30 days. However, the authorities chose not to return to the original list of 57 countries that held the historic 30-day exemption, but to reduce it to only 54 countries. At this stage, the authorities have not yet announced which three countries will be removed from the list and whether Israel will be affected by the additional reduction.
