Multiple bombings and arson attacks struck Narathiwat and parts of Yala, injuring two people and triggering heightened security across Thailand’s Deep South. Authorities said 11 locations in Narathiwat were targeted, with damage reported to vehicles, telecommunications infrastructure, roads, and government property. The most serious incident occurred in Sungai Padi district, where an explosion hit a car carrying five people and injured two women with shrapnel. Suspected insurgents also torched telecommunications towers and government vehicles in Yala, while another explosive device was found near the Narathiwat Provincial Transport Office in Sungai Kolok. Officials imposed a curfew in parts of Narathiwat, tightened travel routes, and urged residents to remain indoors and avoid suspicious objects while security operations continued.
