registering Social security health with thai pink id card

Featured Replies

hello folks, ive recently got a yellow book and a pink id card.

I havent been working since may and would like to apply for social security health which i think is like 432bath per month.

for criteria i know it must be applied within 6 months after resignation, but i only worked for 11 months in my previous company.

before that ive paid for around 5 yrs.

am i still eligible to apply in this case?

i cant contact the bkk office via phone and the website doesnt even support EN langugae

As long as you have at least 12 months of contributions (and you have 71 at least), you can apply for the voluntary insurance. Best to take your yellow tabieen baan and Pink card to the nearest SS office. Don't rely on the phone. https://thaicitizenship.com/thai-social-security/

Suppose i get enrolled into SSO with 432 thb deduction every month for health coverage

Then i start working again the company will deduct 900thb or will the deduct the remiaining of 432thb ive already paid?

Call the 1506 labour/soc. sec. hotline. The answering system gives you the option of Thai or English. Select English and most time an English speaker will talk to you (I suspect these folks are Soc. Sec. lawyers.

If the call automatically switches you back to Thai language it means that No English speaking staff are available at that time. Don't be concerned, call again later or tomorrow and you will eventually get an English speaker.

Have patience, they are good listeners and you wll get clear answers.

Good luck.

You think too much.

Don't expect answers to questions like this to be answered by other members.

Check my recent post re calling the Soc. Sec. hotline 1506 and get an exact answer.
