Police Arrest Man Accused of Running Online Child Prostitution Network

Thai police arrested 38-year-old Saran, known as “Yod The Kids,” on September 5 following an investigation into the alleged recruitment of minors for prostitution. Police allege he contacted girls under 18 through social media and local connections before advertising them in private online groups for paid sexual services. Investigators say customers paid Saran separate referral fees while the girls were advertised for approximately 3,000 to 5,000 baht per encounter, with multiple minors allegedly connected to the operation. Evidence seized included social media accounts, photographs, conversations, payment records, banking information and a mobile phone, while police said Saran admitted having previously introduced around 50 girls to customers. He now faces human trafficking and prostitution-related charges, and authorities noted that he had previously been arrested in 2022 for involvement in a child sexual abuse 

material distribution network.
