Move the sign out button up?

Featured Replies

Greetings,

currently when I go to sign out I need to move the whole page up to where my nic just about disappears so that when I hit it, the sign out button appears as it is the last object on the list that starts with profile.

Not really that big of a deal, but any chance of moving the sign out above profile on the list? Cheers, PE

There is no real need to sign-out until one is about to die.

During the past Five-Plus years, I have not yet signed out.

In fact, until this moment, I had never even looked for a "sign-oui" button.

What is the scenerio in which you need to use a sign-out button?

For sure, there are times when one might need to use a Sign-IN button.

Caveat: If you are in the habit of using phones and computers which do not belong to you, then sign-out of everything before stepping away from the machine. Also, if you use your wife's phone to access the forum, then always sign-out. if your wife monitors your own personal devices, then always sign-out.

Having now located the SIGN-OUT button, it is obvious that this button is located in the proper place, based on convention, and also hierarchical importance.

The more we move around buttons, based on individual preferences, the more confusing it will become to navigate what now exists.

Perhaps you are using some device or computer screen which has a strange format.

As it stands now, the Sign-Out button is easily accessed, and is the correct location.

Some, recently, have also proposed hiding the "Submit Topic" button, but it's still best not to do so.

First of all, will death always give advanced notice to sign out from all your forums?

Then, after death what if you are still signed on? Maybe your 'spirit' can join in the fun?
