Trump is "600-700%" Dumber than a Turnip

One needs to use Trump's own Rube Goldberg-esque mathematics to describe just how dumb the bozo is. (Apologies to turnips and their loved ones; no offense meant)

Responding to the Fed raising interest rates due to Trump's inflation, Trump issued the attached Tweet.

Now I accept that Trump has a bloated fat arse, but it still amazes me how much nonsense he can pull straight out of it. So moronic and desperate is his post, there is no need for editorial comment as to why the demented old fool is insane. MAGAs may disagree, but that's why they are MAGAs. Goofy Birds of a feather flock together.

Drawing from Trump's own Tweet, we now have a new way of describing the results of the 2020 Election. Trump suffered a "deficit", or as he says, "nothing more than a fancy word for a LOSS".

And as a bonus, Trump has released a typical childish response to the EU and Canada discussing a special "associate membership". Trump is ranting about new tariffs on the EU.

So in the space of a few hours, Trump has proven he neither has read Adam Smith nor Dale Carnegie. Of course, according to his 1st wife Ivana, Trump did read, and keep in the nightstand next to the bed, the speeches of Adolf Hitler, so there's that.

The Fed's mandate is price stability and maximum employment, not setting rates based on credit rating alone.

At the press conference Warsh said the hike was needed because "Stable prices have been the problem for now more than five and a half years"and "Inflation is too high and has been for too long."

If inflation is 3%+ and Fed Funds were 1%, that would be a deeply negative real rate - highly stimulative, which would normally push inflation higher, not lower. That's why the Fed raised.

Having the "best credit" does lower the credit risk premium you pay vs other countries, but it doesn't give you the lowest policy rate in the world. The lowest policy rates in the world right now are in countries with very low inflation/deflation - Switzerland, Japan - not necessarily the strongest fiscal position.

The US, despite strong credit, has persistent above-target inflation, which requires higher rates. You can argue rates should be lower for growth reasons - that's Trump's policy preference - but the credit-rating argument by itself doesn't drive Fed policy.

The Best Credit in the world. 😄

The U.S. federal government spends approximately $3.0 billion to $3.8 billion per day in interest costs on the national debt.

That's $3B per day that can't be spent on improving education, roads, grids, water availability, roads, daycare, food, increasing housing, etc etc etc

All because Republicans refuse to raise taxes on Billionaires to pay their fair share.

No, no.

It's alright that Billionaires be allowed to pay less in taxes than school teachers, firemen or plumbers.

Because the GOP says so.

Vote Republican in November if you want some more of this!

He could flip though those books if they had them in comic book form ,

I wonder if he REALLY believes that export countries pay the tariffs and

they are not a tax on the American consumer, or did he just believe

Navarro ,

Shouldn't Warsh be under investigation for something now.......double parking, jay walking.......got to be something.

He cannot pick on Warsh now as it was a 12:0 unanimous vote.

I have a feeling that invisible hand is about to become a fist.

Hard to believe this was Trump's out.......

"I told Warsh he may as well vote with the boneheads"
