Lost Thai Marriage Certificate

I have lost our Thai marriage certificate. Does anyone know what is involved in obtaining a replacement?

My wife lost hers. It was years ago, but she went to some local government office and picked up a copy. She is sleeping now (12:30am in the states). I'll try to remember to ask her tomorrow. Don't think it is big deal.

More than likely she went back to the Amphur where you got married and where the record of it is kept.

That's the place to start with.

Just get the missus to go the the office where you registered your marriage and they will give you a couple of copies - she just needs to take her thai card

You can go down to the amphur where you registered your marriage & do this yourself as well. However they will not issue another "marrriage certificate". You'll only ever get one of those & if it is lost, stolen, destroyed or burned - too bad.

What they will give is an official copy of the entry of your marriage into the marriage log book which is perfectly acceptable for anything that requires proof of marriage.

Cheers,

Soundman.

Thanks for the replies. The certificate is defintely lost. I do want a new certificate rather than a copy of the register. It would be good if I could do this myself as it is easier for me to take time from work.
