Anyone know where I can get these in Bangkok, especially the Golden Syrup variety? Have tried to explain this delicacy with no success.

I think they have them sometimes in TOPS. Probably the bigger ones would be the ones to try - Chidlom or the new(ish) one at Siam. Alterntively make your own, some flour, suet, pudding basin, golden syrup, butter, greaseproof paper and a means of steaming. Ask tutsi for a loan of his pressure cooker.
