Did i feel stupid & poor!

I will relate this experience to you at the risk of being seen as some sort of idiot which normally I am not!

Had a nice break in Jomtien vegging out on the beach eating and drinking too much.

Knowing that my KSC Inet connection card was finished I duly purchase another one in Pattaya.

Returned to my des res, rented hovel, in Chiangmai and logged on with my new KSC Inet connect card and proceeded to try to make my fortune using my internet prowess, not!!

All went well until I received my "local" phone bill, it was 28,800 baht for two weeks! Yes, I had been calling Pattaya every day for my connection not realising it was treated as an international call- my comments were *& **&**(&__$$$$.

Hope this experience will prevent others from doing the same thing.

Poorer but wiser, well a little!

Perhaps 'as expensive as an international call' would be more correct?  Pattaya is still part of Thailand at last word.  Understand your shock - the long distance rates in country are way too high if you don't use the '1234' prefix.  Anyhow, hope you doubled your fortune the last two weeks so you can pay the phone guys. :o
