I invite people to come to another discussion groups meeting on the topic of democracy or, more specifically:

Most democratic, Western governments do not seem to consider the majority of people they are supposed to represent. Do you agree? If so, what can be done about it?

BACKGROUND

We have had 2 meetings thus far this year and have about 30 participants who are on an emailing list. Usually (unless we have a calamitous downpour), we have about 10 to 20 people showing up. This activity was started in 2006.

GOALS (of these meetings)

These free, non-denominational, regular, casual, small groups meetings are designed

by

people of all ethnic and linguistic backgrounds to share their thoughts on and to acquire a greater depth of understanding of member-generated topics, to make more friends, to acquire better English fluency or comprehension (if they are not native English-speakers), or to improve their public speaking skills. Good fluency and pronunciation in English is recommended, unless you are only interested in listening.

* We are also holding these meetings alternatively on Wednesdays too and every 2 weeks at this time, but this could change if those days were to conflict with too many people's schedules.
