Looking Inside Or Only Outside

This is by no means intended as a negative post, I only wish to generate some ideas and thoughts about something I was thinking about.

Buddhism teaches one to look for spirituality within the self. The path to enlightenment lies in within.

Does this run contradictory to the Thai emphasis on surface matter and outward appearance?

Can never understand why so many people are looking for something myself?

I think many Thais follow the teachings of Buddhism, with the same intensity, as many westerners follow the teachings of the Bible.We all could do a lot better.

I think many Thais do not even know what you are talking about .

Like most and all over the world , we humans are just sheeps without a herder ,

or only dead fish swim with the stream

Most of us are dead fish .
