September 30, 200718 yr Dhammananda Bhikkhuni will be speaking at the Ban Aree library. According to a recent e-mail, the details are as follows: Tues 16th Oct, Baan Aree will be lead by Bhikkhuni Dhammananda – We are very happy that she will spare us the time, and we are hoping to draw on her broad experience from 30+ years teaching Buddhism and religion at Mahidol University, and as a Bhikkhuni, meditator, and now international figure in Buddhism.
October 4, 200718 yr The littlebang blog keeps good track of the Baan Aree talks and discusses other subjects from a Buddhist point of view. I believe it is maintained by one of the monks behind the library talks. http://littlebang.wordpress.com/
October 13, 200718 yr Yes, Bhikkhuni Dhammananda will be in Bangkok on Tuesday 16th, but a capacity crowd is expected so best be early to get a seat inside. Room holds 100 people. David Holmes, a warm and interesting speaker who is a close collaborator of Bhikkhu Bodhi and the BPS, for whom he is editing the new internet version of the Wheel series of translations, is speaking there on tues 23 - Chulalonkorn day. Khun Danai is on the 30th - he used to write the Dharma Moments column in the Bangkok Post, but again a capacity crowd is expected. All are free, and in English.
October 22, 200718 yr New interview with Bhikkhuni Dhammananda Nothing unexpected or controversial but nice nonetheless.
