Potholes

Featured Replies

while driving to Pattaya the other day the traffice started to build up rather bad at one point, like usual :o

then it went into single file because there was a car broken down on the outside lane. at closer inspection it turned out to be an older 5 series that had hit a pothole and totaly lost his front wheel, the whole lot had been ripped out. wheel brakes everything.

I dont know how fast he had been going, couldnt of been that fast on the stretch of road we were on.

man that would really p-ss me off if it had of been to me. :D:D

Man that is reality here,, i went to 120kmh to oone deep hole an other day and broke my shoke up from front, cost me 8000thb, but i claimed back from insurance(Viraya 1st class insurance)

I was actually surpriced that alloy did not broke, that was h*ll of the bang.

Imagine doing that speed on a bike and hitting it!

You'd be playing a harp before you knew it. !

Driving along Kluay Nam Thai in Bangkok a coule of months ago following a tuk tuk in the jam. He drove over a man-hole cover and it gave way dropping the back end of his tuk tuk a good couple of feet down into it. If it wasnt so dangerous it would have been ###### funny.

They have repaired the hole now. Big metal plate laying over it! Wonder how long that will last.

A songthaew turning into Soi 18 on Naklua Road lost the whole nearside wheel, bearings etc. just hit the ground and the driver didn't know what to do. Of course, this motor should have been retired many years ago and would never have passed an MOT.

Around 20 years ago in the UK I had a car lose a nearside wheel taking the front wing off at about 70mph ! We got around a right hand turn off the dual carriageway and got it down onto a grass verge. Lucky escape.
