4 Thais : 1 Farang

Featured Replies

Hi

I'd like to know how to get a one-year work permit. I heard that I need 4 thai employees before I can apply for a 1 year Work Permit for myself. What if I "hire" the 4 thai employees now and then "fire" some of them later after I get my 1 year Work Permit.

Will my work permit automatically be cancelled when any 1 of the 4 thai employees leaves the employment?

You only need 4 thai staff if you want to get an extension of stay based on business for you Non-imm B visa. You can get a work permit without 4 thai staff. Check with Sunbelt who sponsor the forum.

I currently already have a Work Permit but it expires every 3 months because my Visa expires every three months.

Before my Visa expires I have to do a Visa run to get a new Visa and extend my Work Permit another 3 months. This had been going on for about 3 years.

My present company is a small one, registered about 3 years ago but until now I do not have 4 thai staffs. For the past years I had been doing my accounting legally and paying all necessary taxes.

Now I am thinking of putting the names of some Thai people, declare some salary for them and contribute Social Security.

I was wondering if this can help me get a 1 year Work Permit and if yes, can the Thai people leave my company after I get my 1 year permit? Will my permit be automatically cancelled when some of the Thai staff leaves my company?
