Help With Phrases

Featured Replies

Hey, I'd like some phrases translated for a friend of mine:

Rak na

do lee tua eng hai di na

chop kun mak lei na

ya leum rao la

kidteung na

Your help is much appreciated!

Hey, I'd like some phrases translated for a friend of mine:

Rak na

Love You

do lee tua eng hai di na

Take good care of yourself

chop kun mak lei na

I like you very much

ya leum rao la

Don't forget us

kidteung na

Miss you (or miss me)

The use of นะ Na and ละ la are just for emphasis in conversation. It is easy for farang to overuse them.

Your help is much appreciated!

Garro's correct, only one thing to add:

ya leum rao la

Don't forget us

The basic meaning of 'rao' is we, but it is often used to refer to just one person as well, so chances are she is just saying 'don't forget me'.

Much thanks! Hey, I might have some more phrases in the future-would it be possible for you to help me then as well?

Another batch:

Teung me wa ter ja kid yang rai ko tam.teung me wa krai ja wa arai ko tam.rao ko ke yak bok wa chob le huang kun talod wela.

And possibly this: T.Q.M. does anyone know if this is an acronym in Thai?

Another batch:

Teung me wa ter ja kid yang rai ko tam.teung me wa krai ja wa arai ko tam.rao ko ke yak bok wa chob le huang kun talod wela.

Let me try...

How do you feel, what do you think about me? he/she asked. Should anyone have any worries/problems about me, he/she asked. I'd like to say how much I like and care about, you all the time (24/7).

Teung me wa ter ja kid yang rai ko tam.teung me wa krai ja wa arai ko tam.rao ko ke yak bok wa chob le huang kun talod wela.

No matter what you think, no matter what anyone might say, I'd just like to say I care for you and worry about you all the time.

"arai... ko tam" = No matter what

"yangrai... ko tam" = No matter how (often has to be translated into 'what' to make it fit idiomatically with English as Thai uses yangrai 'how' in many instances where English would typically use 'what')

Awesome... learning so much everyday.

I'd be grateful if you could write that saying in Thai.

I still haven't got back my Thai character support on this machine, but I can copy paste some things:

อะไรก็ตาม = arai ko tam in the text (I would transcribe as 'arai kaw taam' but that's personal preference. To confirm better to English spelling, arai gaw dtaam).

อย่างไรก็ตาม = yang rai ko tam in the text (I would transcribe as 'yaangrai kaw taam'. Closer to English, yahngrai gaw dtaam)

ถึงแม้ว่า = teung me wa (I would transcribe as 'thueng mae waa')
