YoungFarangNa Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 I have Italian and American citizenship. After three years of marriage I believe that I can pass my Italian citizenship to my wife. Will the Thai government allow her to be a dual citizen or will she have to renounce her Thai citizenship. Will the Italian government allow her to have both Thai/Italian citizenship? lopburi3 Posted October 28, 2007 Share Posted October 28, 2007 Although Thailand officially does not recognize dual citizenship (much like the USA) they have no laws that prevent it (although they have tried to make them). So if your wife obtains another citizenship she will not lose her Thai citizenship unless she officially takes action to do so. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
