Would anyone have any idea what would be the safest and most cost effective way of sending some things back home.

Essentially all we have are books, documents and clothes. Nothing's urgent, so surface mail, if available would be just fine.

Back home, as in back to Oz.

Check out the weight then ask the PO the price of the parcel.

This will help you decide.

Alternatively take them in a extra suitcase next time you go.

You can send up to 20kgs via Thailand Post. You can send it Registered for extra insurance. It is not expensive.
