Hi All, Due to "Circs beyond my control" I have to be elsewhere from 17-29 November, (self-employed) work permit expires 22 November.

My agent says this can be done with an extra letter to the authority, but I'd like to know what she's talking about.

D'you think I would be safer to do a Border run this weekend and renew with 3 months permit to stay I will get then on my Non O?

I know you can apply in advance for the renewal. My WP was due to expire tomorrow whilst I had planned to be in China. Things changed and I am still in Thailand but my staff handled my renewal a couple of weeks ago. I think there is a limit of how far in advance it can be done but I'm not sure of it myself.
