Completing the new VAF1 for (hopefully) my GF’s third VV ,two new areas are confusing me a little.These are

6.10.14 How much do you spend each month on living costs? And

6.10.17 If someone other than yourself is paying for all or part of this visit, how much money will they give you.

For the first question I am not sure what answer they are looking for ,as like a lot of people my GF’s “living expenses” rent, food etc take up almost all of her income.Do they want figures? A breakdown of living expenses? Or what?

Question 6.10.17. As the answer to 6.10.18 What is the cost to you, personally, of your stay in the UK, is nil as I am paying for all expenses (air fare etc). I shall actually give her no money at all for this visit.

Obviously whilst she is in the UK I will pay for everything .On the old form the question was worded “How much money is available for your stay” and “Who is paying for your trip” and we just put £2000 and my name.

Any suggestions, should I just put down £2000 as before or answer the actual question with the truth which is Nil.

Ps saving the planet!!, new form having seven non relevant pages for a standard VV application, what a waste of paper. Could not someone who drew up these forms think One basic form with appendix a, b or c to download dependant on what type of VV you require

I'd enter the actual figure for her living costs, i.e. x amount of baht, and nil for q. 6.10.17. You can then explain in a covering letter that you'll be responsible for all costs.
