LukDod
Does anyone know the score if you have a bike registared in Thailand, but would like to take it touring to Cambodia and Lao?..<snip>.. Log on here at Gt-riders for border crossing info: http://www.gt-rider.com/thailand-laos-camb...r-crossings.htm ...and also register and view or post questions on their forum. In short...assuming the bike is reg'ed in your name... border crossings are easy. As the GT site will inform you, Thai customs gives you a temporary export permit for the bike, which is good for 30-days. Yet the 30-day rule is usually not enforced (YMMV) as my last trip to Cambo & Laos was 2-months duration before returning to Thailand without any problem.
