Electric Heating Pad

Featured Replies

Anyone know where an electric heating pad (for backache relief, etc) can be bought in Pattaya or Bangkok. I've looked in Boots in Pattaya on several occasions but not seen one.

Thanks

try just hot water bottle - even an ordinary plastic or glass bottle wrapped in the towel will do.

thai for headache do use ice cold face masks (can be bought at boots) - however overuse might cause problem with sinuses.

use heat for the muscle tension (tiger balm or the other creams can be applied as well) but for an unknown origin headache I would try rather icy towel on the neck - in hot climates it's the excessive body heat which causes problems

Bangkok Christian Hospital Silom.

Next to the pharmacy. As you walk into the hopital, turn right.

Ask Sheryl about the benign affects of an electric blanket. they found in the 1990's they are linked to causing cancer.

Magnetic waves(not induced by electricity good- Electrically charged magnetic waves- not good)

I gave them up when they revealed the study in the U.S.

Thanks for the warning.

I've used an electric heating pad for probably 50 years (not continuously :o ) without any noticeable ill effects. At this point in life virtually everything, including breathing or eating, is likely to cause cancer, strokes, heart attacks, etc. so I've given up worrying about it too much.

I used them for about 7 years myself & quit after I heard the news about them, but Sheryl one of the mods on this forum would know more if you want the in depth skinny. She is super qualified in the health field & is really good & up on her research- I have read a lot of her posts 7 she knows whats up in the health field......I believe I would trust her more than some of the doctors in Thailand.

Good health to you
