I really have no idea, not that i would have any idea for a woman my own age. This lady is a friend of mine and my gf's and its her bday soon and i dont know what to get her.

Ear Rings, Bracelets, Bangles, Necklace, anything gold.

amulets of Bhudda if appropriate.

Well, we don't know her. I know what I'd buy for some 40-ish year old women I know, but no clue if appropriate for your friend.

* A book

* Cosmetics, creams, etc

* Some kitchy gift-crap item :o

* A plant / young tree for the garden

* etc etc etc.

Go to Central / Robinson and buy something.

If you frame her birth certificate - even if it is in gold - you will be in serious trouble!

Gold always will make them happy as they can cash it very easily with slightly high transaction fees!

If you really want to make her happy get her an ATM Card associated to your bank account with no withdrawal limits!

Please note - I am being sarcastic - so take it with a grain of salt!

I do hope you will manage to buy her a gift that she will appreciate!

lol! funny and useful replies from people, i think face cream it might be, laura mercier apparently is good ......and expensive.

last year have a same with a family's friend...we ended up with a nice book about the king. can't get a bad word from a thai for that :o
