November 19, 200718 yr Well, we don't know her. I know what I'd buy for some 40-ish year old women I know, but no clue if appropriate for your friend. * A book * Cosmetics, creams, etc * Some kitchy gift-crap item * A plant / young tree for the garden * etc etc etc. Go to Central / Robinson and buy something.

November 19, 200718 yr My wife is a 40+ year old Thai When I asked what she wanted for Birthday? Reply cooking pans !! So I bought BUT (as I am not completely stupid) also necklace given after pans, NICE SMILE when she opened Regards
November 19, 200718 yr If you frame her birth certificate - even if it is in gold - you will be in serious trouble! Gold always will make them happy as they can cash it very easily with slightly high transaction fees! If you really want to make her happy get her an ATM Card associated to your bank account with no withdrawal limits! Please note - I am being sarcastic - so take it with a grain of salt! I do hope you will manage to buy her a gift that she will appreciate! Good Luck! -and- Happy Birthday to the Lady!
