Hiso Lady In Grocery Store

Featured Replies

today i was in a grocery store and I saw an older hi-so lady with big hair and one of those nice colorful outfits (i dont know how to describe it, but you probably know what i am talking about) walking around holding a handkerchief over her mouth the way people waiting for a bus do to avoid fumes. She had a man with her who i am guessing was her driver holding a basket and she would tell him what she wanted as she walked down the isles.

Do you think she had a cold and was preventing the spread of germs, was she trying to avoid catching germs from the other people in grocery store, or was this some sort of social gesture?

Did she have a French Poodle peeping out from her LV handbag too ??? :o

She was posing. Truly hi-so Thais don't go to grocery stores.

No idea Tony and i wouldn't care either way anyway :o

You really should try to shower more often :o

Maybe she had a cold sore and didn't want anyone to see.

maybe (s)he was hiding her moustache

Yeah, wouldn't the cook just go to the store for you?

Whether one is Hi-so or Lo-so there isn’t a way one can escape the grave one day. :o Whatever rich or poor people eat or take is still came out the same way. :D

And of course you would know hi-so - bwhaaaaaaaaaa

maybe the wind blew the handkerchief in and the lady was stuck to it... :o

Herpes outbreak ?

Naka.

I know the type of women he's talking about. His brief description of her instantly brought an image to my mind. It's funny how these 'hiso' women seem to stick out but the men don't. The hiso thing really is just a fashion statement for withering old monied women who are seen by the masses as useless. There were people like them in the west but they are extremely hard to find nowadays. You can see a whole lot of them decked out in silks singing on Thai TV at around 4am or so. That old Australian lady on the moring English-laguage talk show on Thai TV is one of their western clones.

Supermarkets in Thailand are the most healthy enviroments. I was walking through Topps two hours ago and one of the salesladies who offers free samples was standing next to her stand clipping her fingernails. It was ridiculous. Here in Thailand people do this because they don't know anything about standards of cleanliness. If someone did it in the West, it would have to be some sort of a protest.

it was Michael Jackson in disguise...

All Coiffed in a pretty pink? :o

Probably arrived in a 1975 Datsun Sunny :o

And here I was thinking a 70's YUGO, silly me. :D

Probably a banged-up Botox treatment from a bogus cosmetic surgery clinic.

Does she have a daughter?

How do you know that?

Is your name symptomatic of your state of mind perhaps?

The people who seem to have the worst attitudes towards cleanliness where i live are the countless farangs who seem to think a Beer Chang muscleshirt is the height of fashion and who believe their hairy backs are somehow immune to body odour.

And instread of asking her you thought it better to ask a lot of total strangers who've never met or seen the person here?

I see.

When i entered a 7/11 the other month i noticed a very fat lazy looking staff member picking & rubbing her fingers over the open hot dogs that were rolling & cooking directly under her mits.I gave a look at the hot dogs & then her, which i'm sure she noticed, but the seasoning of the porkers continued. :o

Still those dogs are probably all ears, noses,& a holes,so whats a bit of 7/11 staff finger dust to worry about.

Your joking right? Ears, noses and holes are the most sought after parts in Thailand they wouldn't waste them in hot dogs!
