News Coverage About Adultery Of Celebrities Might Be Illegal

News coverage about adultery of celebrities might be illegal

The Ministry of Culture warns that news coverage about adultery scandals of public figures, including politicians and celebrities, might violate Article 9 of the 2007 Act Protecting the Victims Suffered from Family’s Violence.

The Director of the Center for the Protection of Children’s Rights Foundation, Mr. Shapphasit Khumpraphan says the media cannot reveal the victims' names of family violence as prohibited by Article 9 of the Act. Penalties include an imprisonment not exceeding six months and/or a fine of up to 60,000 baht.

The Office of Women’s Affairs and Family Development has arranged a seminar on guidelines of the media’s coverage in line with Article 9 of the 2007 Act Protecting the Victims Suffered from Family’s Violence yesterday (November 23rd) at the Princeton Park Suite Hotel.

Mr. Shapphasit also suggested the media cover news which benefit society, while ensuring that news stories concerning violence in families do not contain names of both the offenders and the victims.

===============================

While I can certainly understand not publishing the names of victims who are subjects of family violence (that's common world-wide), I think it's a completely different situation regarding adultery among celebs......

or are politicians also using this a cover for themselves, as well?

The pollie's probably sleeping in the garage tonight.

Naka.

Adultery as Family Violence? Stretching a bit the notion.

But I am sure glad for the precision, only reporting of adultery is illegal. Adultery itself is still legal, right guys?

In the UK arguing with your spouse or partner is an act of violence, and one can be arrested if reported. Under the new EU Soviet regulations everything is illegal. Seems that our world is going through a huge transformation and all the little facist pricks are coming out of the woodwork to enjoy their new sense of power.

Not being able to smoke in a bar in the UK is akin to living in a facist dictatorship. Ok yes yes, people who dont smoke dont like to be contaminated - which is correct. But smoking and no smoking would have been the obvious democratic solution. However, if any non smokers whish to venture into a smoking area then they would be welcome.

FACT - it was the NAZIS who last banned all smoking. FACT the new EU Super state has 107,000 new regulations ready to impose on a mostly brain dead and unsuspecting populuce, too busy concerned with spectator sports and celebrity gossip!

This is almost like a parade of no-name idiots trying to get their names in the news while they can, before the new government is elected. Day after day we see absolutely ridiculous proposals wanting to protect someone's "morals".

I guess Pointofview thought he'd slip in that rant of his disregarding the fact that it has nothing to do wiith the thread and nothing to do with Thailand.

No my English isn't too bad.

The hub of adultery. :o

Since when is someone screwing around committing any violent act against his family? Totally ridiculous.
