30 Day Extension On Tourist Visa: Office Near Pakkred?

Featured Replies

Hello! My tourist visa's going to run out in a couple of days and this'll be my first time applying for the 30 day extension. In terms of what to expect, just go down with (2?) passport photos and my passport, fill out the form, wait in line, and they put it in my passport and I go home? Office hours appromixmately 9-4 M-F? Sound about right?

Also, I live North of Bangkok in Pakkred, does anyone know where the nearest place to get this done would be? It looks as though they've closed the one that used to be at Don Muang Airport.

Any info would be enormously helpful

THANKS!!

I was not aware that Don Muang offered extension service but I know that the office in the Novotel at the new airport does. Other than that believe you should visit Suan Phlu Hqs. There is a One-Stop-Service-Center just up the road from Central Plaza Latphao that can be used for 90 day reporting but do not believe they offer extension service.

You should do this ASAP as you lose no days doing early.

You will have to pay the 1,900 baht fee and a photo copy of passport photo page and probably arrival card are likely required.

Thanks for your reply, Lopburi. You're info was bang on and very helpful. Amazingly it was only a two-hour deal, even on a Monday. I didn't know that you don't lose any days by applying early, I will definitely put that to use in the future. Incidentally I asked the girls at the info desk there and indeed that location is the only one doing extensions in or near Bangkok. Luckily it's easily accessible in the Silom area, not so bad to get to coming from the outskirts. Also the large amount of photo and copy places nearby makes getting the required docments together easy. They wanted one passport photo and one copy each of the front page of the passport and the one with the visa and departure card.
