Apply at your own Immigration Province Office

After OCT 1. Applicants living in other provinces will NOT be able to apply through the immigration in Bangkok (they must apply locally).

Example: You don't like how your local immigration office interprets the laws so you having been going to another province such as Bangkok. Now you can no longer use that option. You must go to the local office after Oct 1st.

IS THAT LAW INTO FORCE?

Lopburi 3 - are you saying 'in your opinion' you can apply at any immigration office. I thought they ''preferred'' you to apply at your local office.

Is that the same same but different!

i.e. if they say 'go to your local office' is that not the same as the 'new law that has not been implemented being enforced'

I am saying what I said - that the planned new regulations were not put into effect. The policy in the past was you should do at your nearest office or if that was a problem use Bangkok. I have not seen any serious indication that has changed.

Does any one know where the Immigration office for Khampaeng Phet is?

In January I am going to apply for a visa for living with my Thai child through Bangkok with the help hopefully of Sunbelt.

I am 63, married with a Thai wife and a 3 year old Thai son.

I should qualify on those grounds and not have to show income I think.

I used to have a Thai wife support visa but it ran out while I was working offshore so I have to start again.
