December 6, 200718 yr Am considering buying a neighbors truck which is 2 years old. Where does one go to make sure that it does not have any leans against it and or all leans have been removed? Thanks in advance.
December 6, 200718 yr Simple: If the bank owns a vehicle then it says so in the registration booklet. You have to check that the guy you give money to is the guy listed as the owner in this little blue book. (Along with making sure that thelicense plate number, color, engine number and so on match with what's in the booklet). Better still, make transferring ownership the responsibility of the seller; money is due for release when the car has been transferred.

Thank you for the information, the guy was pulling a fast one; contacted a lawyer and the police got involved but did get our deposit back! Lies, Lies and more Lies!
