Parcels From Uk To Thialand

Featured Replies

Yes its that time of the year again, and want to send small parcel from the UK

Anyone got any advice ?

Went today to post office told me £20 for 2 Kilo. Unless you send it by slow boat

Want to send approx 4 kilo any info ?

Unfortunately that's what it costs :o

Once upon a time you could do things cheaper with several small shipments and the 'small packet' rate, the rationalisation of postal rates a couple of years back put paid to that.

Check the rates here :- http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content...ediaId=53800712

Remember the 'gift' may also be subject to import duty as decided by Thai customs although this rarely happens to us with stuff sent by mail, always get stung if using FedEx, DHL etc.

I would also, not directly addressing your query I know :

Put the address on in Thai as well, the local post people are often, unsurprisingly, not too versed in English

Get the package registered/recorded as well

I used to have maybe 1 in 3 just go missing. Foul play or not I do not know, but not had a problem since doing the above.

As from Crossy, well, thats what it costs sadly
