Swedish Go-Karting Champion found dead in his South Pattaya Apartment.

On Monday Night, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sawai from Pattaya Police Station made his way to a rented room above the Star Night Karaoke Bar in Soi Beokeow to investigate a foreign fatality. Inside Room Number D5, Police inspected the body of Mr. Edvard Karl Jacobsson aged 77 from Sweden. He was found, partially clothed lying on the floor of the bathroom. He had sustained a head injury and an injury to his arm. Police believe he had died within the last 2 days. Medication was found in the room and taken into evidence and according to a friend of the deceased known as “Peter”, who also discovered the body, Mr. Jacobsson, a famous Swedish Go Karking Champion, had just been released from Hospital following a recent illness. He returned to his room alone and Peter was unable to contact Mr. Jacobsson for many days. Mr. Jacobsson had recently competed in a Go-Karting Competition in Saraburi Province in November where he came first. The Swedish Embassy in Bangkok are aware of the case and are now waiting for the results of a post mortem examination.

Knew this guy "Eddie" for the past 6 years, first met him in my bar where he was a regular customer (always trying to pull my wife ), grew to know him better when my partner and I bought Go Karts and we regularly used to race at Mini Siam and KR, although he was an old guy he could still drive one of those things exceptionally well.

Had a good chats with him and he's raced and won at Monte Carlo amongst other places.

Nice guy ,very sad. RIP
