Transit Visa Extension

Does anyone know if I can get an extension on a 30 day transit visa?

Apparently nobody really does, although you're not the only person to

receive one of these things recently. On the mfa.go.th website they give

some general info under each visa class, paragraph 6 (below) seems to

indicate it might be possible(This appears under transit visa category).

You're in Krabi province right? Like the suggestion you made yourself,

probably have to go by the office and ask what they can do for you if

anything. Let us know the results if you can, it might be of assistance

to someone else in a similar situation.

6. EXTENSION OF STAY

Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type

of visa must file an application for permission at the Office of

Immigration Bureau located on Soi Suan Plu, off South Sathorn Road,

Bangkok 10120 , Tel 02 287-3101-10 (or at http://www.immigration.go.th ).

The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is

solely at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

I have decided to go to Singapore and trey to get another TV there. Apparently the chances are better there.

I'm going on the 6th Jan for a few days, so I will post my experience when, or IF I get back...
