Beach Gear - Where Do You Find It?

So I am trying to buy a large beach umbrella and some folding reclining chairs to use when we hit the beaches

I cannot find them for sale anywhere.

Does anyone know where in Bkk one can find this gear? I can find all sorts of camping gear, but here in the land of the beach I cannot find beach gear.

Yet in Canada, where we have 47 minutes of beach weather per annum (in some areas) you trip over the stuff almost every place you go shopping, go figure.

yes that is a thought, but this being thailand i am trying to not leave it til then as then i will likely end up with nothing. i figure if you cant find it in bkk, you cant find it in thailand

the other op mentioned tesco, but i have tried there, and carrefour and home pro and come up empty. i know samui has a tesco but i doubt it is stocked much different - if at all, from the ones here (maybe im wrong, anyone know?)

How about Pratunam Market - not far from Pantip - or maybe even Khao San? At a guess, though, these places would only net you beachwear.

Perhaps track down a large sports outlet in Bangers?

robinson is a no go, tried suk soi 19, i figured if lotus did not have it i would give up on central but maybe i should try it. i may as well try central world (and i could try central proper at chitlom at the same time) - there must be every store known to man in that goliath, if its not there then i guess i could try to battle thru jj
