Just bought one but can't open it to see inside. Can anyone tell me how.

Also, what's the best way to get songs from my laptop to it? I have a usb cable.

Can I put the memory card into my computer - how?

Open it? What do you mean? Physically open it or use your PC to look at files etc? If the second, download Nokia PC suite from Nokia.com, install it, then plug your phone into the laptop with the USB/data cable provided. Its very easy to use and has simple to use functions to transfer music and pics from your laptop onto your phone and vice versa

Yes you can put the memory card in you PC and transfer music (or any other kind) files

and then play them back on the phone.

AAC format is recommended as reasonable quality with the smallest size.

The Nokia software supplied with the phone will do the conversion from mp3

and handle the USB link for you.

Set it up on your PC and it will install the drivers for the phone.

It is also a good idea to back up your phone data to the memory card, or your PC from time to time.
