Just found this nice GB chrome badge and was thinking of sticking it on the back Of my pick up, then I wondered if it was a wise thing to do..? Do I really want people to know it’s a farangs vehicle or am I being a bit silly.. :o

If you want the police to give you parking tickets more often then it's a good idea. They can only pick on me when i am in my car. I'd rather it remain anonymous when i'm not in it.

Hi ThaiLife

I assume cos you have got a pick-up, you live in a rural area?? If so, why worry!

When you see the state of others vehicles, anyway what you are doing, no-one will understand. Great Britain does'nt exist anymore :D:o:D

Dave ( I'v got one too, ready to go on new truck)

I brought a GB sticker with me, it is still in my suitcase 4 years on, not on my car….

I often see cars/trucks with the EU sticker, and a few LHD cars with ‘D’ [Germany] stickers and 1x with ‘DK’

A chrome GB maybe is OK, but would anyone Thai know what it is ? if you go into a Post Office with letters to G. B. or England, post staff have no idea where that is and ask if it is USA.. only if you put UK do they know

Yeah, probably not a good idea in the cities but out in the countryside, you should be ok. I agree that most Thai wouldn't have a clue what GB means. I have one on the tailgate of my pickup. Looks good against the black background.

Now, if you ask me why I stuck it on, er, um... :o

I've got me one on the back of pickup. It's actually quite discreet and so far nobody has ever really mentioned it. I did get a guy toot and wave once while driving down south from Bangkok .... he had one on the back of his vehicle too!

If you saw my pick up with a nice chrome GB badge on its rear .... Would you give me a Toot

and a friendly wave knowing this has to be a fellow Farang's pick up ...? , the thought of all the extra tooting

and waving sounds really nice , ... lets start the GB club :o

I'd stick it on the back of my pick-up.

I like to blend in........so I have a little Thai flag on the back of mine. :o

Yeah, same here. A Thai flag and a Union Flag. Perhaps there should be a THAIVISA car sticker. Now that would be different...

Me too. Unless I intended driving in certain southern provinces.

A young American of Finnish extraction, formerly working at the US Consulate Chiang Mai, had a Finnish flag on the back of his little car.......
