December 31, 200718 yr If you are, take a look at the last page of this thread: Foreign teachers who have been in Thailand for a year of more legally only require a clearance from the Special Branch at Royal Thai Police HQ in Bangkok. It means a visit to the Branch because they need your prints.
December 31, 200718 yr Author Unfortunately, that is not what is being reported on the last page of the thread.
December 31, 200718 yr MPY, can you please quote the information you are discussing- we're not supposed to allow hotlinks here (especially to other forums) and the link doesn't seem to be working for me anyway. "S"
December 31, 200718 yr Author MPY, can you please quote the information you are discussing- we're not supposed to allow hotlinks here (especially to other forums) and the link doesn't seem to be working for me anyway."S" Here you go: "Chonburi/Pattaya are requesting it. 3 weeks ago, one of our American teachers ( who has been here a few years ) went to Jomtien for his annual visa extension. They asked him for his USA records check. Stated he did not have it and that he would apply but it takes about 4 months on average? They extended his visa by 4 months only pending arrival of his records checks."
January 1, 200818 yr Thanks- it still seems a bit inconsistently applied, but they are asking for the check more and more. I think it might be worth a thread on how the checks SHOULD be implemented (as it is actually pretty reasonable that they are implemented some way or another).
